OUR STORY

Since opening in January 2009, Buster Crabb has revolutionised the city dining scene with its innovative menu and distinct focus on steak and the best Southland has to offer.

The Dee Street heritage building has been masterfully re-modelled, capturing several national awards along the way and features a subtle smokey décor which adds to the overall ambience.

Buster Crabb has impressive menus to choose from – lunch and dinner. We also offer specialised dining including breakfasts by arrangement and a wonderful array of bar food. Portion servings are in line with hearty Southern appetites.

Our fantastic food is accompanied by a wine list, second to none, to complement the array of culinary options. Some customers know exactly what they want – and who are we to argue. Simply choose your steak, its accompaniments and how it’s cooked and leave our skilled chefs to grant your gastronomic wishes.

For those who prefer grain to grapes, we offer an extensive range of beers, including two rotating guest taps, imported German Hofbrau Lager, Haufbrau Wheatbeer, Carlsberg from Denmark, Cassels & Sons from Woolston as well as our own good old dependable Speights, all on tap.

We also have an extensive chilled range of bottled beers including all the favourites as well as an extra few imported numbers.
